I am a transplant from a suburb outside of Los Angeles, Ca and now live in a suburb outside of Portland, Or. Long story short, I love it up here compared to down there....except for one little thing - there is nothing to eat out here! don't get me wrong, in downtown Portland there is a huge, huge foodie scene (feel free to look it up - food carts, locally grown, sustainable, gourmet etc. are commonly used adjectives to describe the PDX food scene.)
I was invited check it out by two buddies of mine, Roy and Mathew, who must have read the same article as me about a new eating establishment. These two are true food connoisseurs whose judgment and taste buds I trust.
It is a small place, quaint, friendly and clean. We ordered a large meat pizza (pepperoni, ham and sausage) for the 3 of us. Personally, at this point I wasn't too interested in what we ordered as I wanted to try the crust.
And how was it. IT was tasty; very very tasty. The crust was crispy and flavorful. The sauce was definitely above average and but the toppings were good. Not great, but good. The toppings were not horrible, but they were a bit disappointing. Nothing too special. BUT, the crust and the sauce more than made up for it. So much so, that the Mat and Roy went ahead and ordered another large (unfortunately i was full a this time and do not remember what they ordered).
Now I must stress that even with the toppings being not all that sexy, I still really enjoyed the pizza and want to go back soon. I have had other brick oven pizzas around Portland and this one ranks up there with some of the better establishments.
I have had some, no need to name (it was NOT Kens or apizzascholls, love those spots), where there was a line around the corner, and yet the crust was limp, soft and bland. Why there was such a wait for this I will never know. This was not one of those places!
Recommended. This one is a keeper.
My view of the pie.
And of course the upskirt shot.

I think I saw the three of you there. Three portly fellas, especially the tubby with the beard. I bet he has to request 3X shirts when he gets them from his company. I agree that this is some great pizza. I think the only topping that wasn't too impressive was the sausage, but I liked the others.
